3rd Shot Drop Clinic

This class focuses on the 3rd Shot drop and the three elements: height of the ball on contact, controlling the trajectory of the ball, and a controlled swing. The class will also emphasize placement of the ball on the court.

Adult Learn-to-Swim with Manatee Aquatic Masters

For adults age 18+ at the start of the program. See class page or activity guide for full description. The City of Emeryville, Community Services, is proud to partner with Manatee Aquatic Masters (MAM) — a U.S. Masters Swimming Gold Club — to offer high-quality swim instruction for adults. Whether you’re stepping into the water for the first time or looking to refine your stroke technique, this program is designed to help you build confidence, improve skills, and feel strong in the water.

Aikido

This class teaches the Japanese martial art of Aikido, using throws, joint locks, and pins for self-defense. Suitable for all levels from beginners to black belts, no prior martial arts experience is necessary.

Anna Yates Expanded Learning Program (2026-2027)

The City of Emeryville Expanded Learning Program at Anna Yates provides EUSD students with academic support, enrichment activities, and a daily snack in a safe and engaging afterschool environment. For more information: Expanded Learning Program

Emeryville Electric Eels

The Emeryville Electric Eels offers a month-long membership tailored to developmental, junior, and senior level competitive swimmers. This program provides an opportunity for participants to maintain physical condition and refine their swimming skills.

IAIDO: Classical Sword Art of Japan

Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu iaido focuses on using a katana to counter a surprise attack. This martial art is excellent for developing awareness, calm mind, and mental and physical harmony.

Pickleball Advanced Beginner Skills

Designed to take players from Advanced Beginner to Intermediate level, focusing on drilling and improving specific skills.

Pickleball Beginner Skills

For individuals starting to play the game, covering rules and fundamental techniques through targeted drills and practice match play.

Swim Lessons - Adult I

Ages: 18+ Perfect for adults new to swimming or building comfort in the water. Learn foundational skills such as floating, breath control, kicking, and basic body positioning.

Swim Lessons - Level 1 & 2

For children ages 6-12. Level 1 focuses on water introduction and basic skills, while Level 2 works on fundamental aquatic skills.

Swim Lessons - Level 3 & 4

For children ages 6-12. Level 3 develops stroke techniques, while Level 4 refines strokes and introduces water rescue techniques.

Swim Lessons - Level 5 & 6

For children ages 7-13. Level 5 refines skills and builds endurance; Level 6 focuses on mastering advanced techniques and preparing for competitive swimming.

Swim Lessons - Parent & Child

For children 6 months to 3 years. This class teaches water adjustment and safety skills for parent and child.

Swim Lessons - Preschool

For children ages 3-5. Aimed at building water confidence and basic swimming skills through engaging activities and games.

Swim Lessons - Private

For ages 3+. Provides personalized instruction, accelerated learning, and skill development.

Swim Lessons - Teen

For ages 13-17. Focuses on foundational skills in a supportive environment.

Taiko Drumming

Taiko is the art of Japanese drumming that develops self-expression and musical creativity, engaging participants in hands-on practice.
